Your Role as a Cloud FinOps Analyst II:

In this exciting role, you’ll be the key driver of Tekion’s cloud cost management and financial operations. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and finance teams to promote financial accountability, optimize cloud infrastructure usage, and align cloud spend with strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

FinOps Strategy & Governance:

• Lead FinOps practices to align cloud investments with business goals
• Create frameworks for governance, budgeting, forecasting, and optimization
• Act as the primary liaison between finance and technical teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Partner with DevOps, engineering, finance, and procurement teams
• Align spending with priorities and support cost allocation models
• Foster a culture of cost transparency and data-informed decisions

Cloud Spend Optimization:

• Analyze AWS, Azure, and GCP billing to identify savings and inefficiencies
• Optimize pricing via Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and Spot usage
• Implement tagging and cost categorization strategies

Reporting & Tooling Enablement:

• Design dashboards for executives and engineers
• Leverage tools like CloudHealth, Cloudability, and AWS Cost Explorer
• Promote self-service cost insights and financial awareness within tech teams

Key Technical Skills:

FinOps, Cloud Cost Optimization, AWS, Azure, GCP, CloudHealth, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer, Excel, SQL, Power BI, Looker, Tableau, Financial Modeling, Cost Reporting, Automation

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud finance
• Strong command of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their billing models
• Proficiency in Excel and SQL for financial modeling and cost analysis
• Excellent communication skills to work across departments
• Hands-on with cloud cost tools and APIs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• FinOps Certified Practitioner
• Experience in high-growth SaaS or cloud-native companies
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD practices
• Background in the automotive or technology industries
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to thrive in a startup culture
